I've been a bit bleary-eyed all weekend. This is what happens, though, after you take an evening ride with the gals on the town in one of these.
They stocked it well. (But really, I was looking up through the sun roof at the Portland buildings. Cool.)
My cousin (left) enjoyed the surprise from her hubby and sis-in-law (right).
A piano player serenaded us at a happenin' establishment on the 30th floor.
We all wore black in consolation, but none of us was upset to be older and, uh, wiser.

Wow Deanna..this looks like so much fun!
I have yet to have my first limo ride. Maybe for my 50th.
Nup... never had a limo ride either. This looks great! Funnily enough, one of the 'girls' at work celebrated her birthday on the weekend and she went on a limo winery tour! Good times. :-)
How exciting! What a nice thing for her husband to do. I would love to go out on the town and not have to worry about the ride home!
This looks like a hoot: I'm going to put this on my list of Things to Do in Life! Though maybe going to Vegas for the first time is an adequate equivalent. : )
Deanna, I've got to say LOL, because Tim and I were talking about my 50th (2 years away), and I recognized that a limo's great if you live near a big city, but in our town, where would you go? Cafe Yumm? No, there'd be picketers immediately surrounding such a gas-guzzling method of transport. Oh, well, I won't complain too much.
Cecily, you could say we did a wine-tasting tour, though there were margaritas to be had, as well (and I did). :o)
Sandy, being driven around in such style was the best part. (I didn't post pictures of us rockin' out in the limo to 70s tunes, because I don't know most of the ladies well, and I don't wish for trouble!)
Yes, a hoot, Fresca, and you know there are lots of limos in Vegas! I've been there - yes, I've lived quite the wild life. ;o)
lol, for a second I was thinking--wow, that's a really big limo with a piano player and all.
Are we all thinking of what to do for our fiftieth birthdays? *sigh* It's coming up fast, and funny how it doesn't seem as old as it used to.
Deanna! LOL...You are sooo right! I guess I still have a few years to decide.
Looks like fun! Though I don't get the wearing of the black. My 50's have been my best years so far - truly a wonderful enlightening time. Next time, if any of you gals do this, wear cheerful colors, man! The 50's are a good ride.
Jodi and Cherie, 50 doesn't seem old anymore - at least certainly not ancient, like it used to. :o) I wasn't responsible for the command to wear black that night, but I didn't mind, since one of my few nice pants outfits is black (well, sort of gray, but close enough).
Looks like a good time!
