Inside moments

Saturday at dusk, snow fell outside the window while on the glimmering screen Aragorn bid Boromir, "Be at peace."

Friends grew misty-eyed, sitting with Tim and me near the crackling wood stove. No matter the repeat views, we grieved. And hummed the masterful music.

Shivering when our friends left for home, we cuddled again near flames, chocolate kisses in our tummies. My lovely man slept a while on cushions before he had to go. Uncovered Fox satellite receptors don't do well in snow. He went to clean the dishes.

I burrowed beneath sheets and blankets, imagining true winter colors remaining for days. I knew they'd really be gone by morning.

...and they were....gone, that is. But so great while they lasted.

While in wisconsin we re-watched the trilogy. I was so much more affected this time around. I think becoming a parent and further understanding God's role as creator and orchestrator I see more of what I think Tolkien was trying to communicate and the weight of it is rather mighty.
Beautiful movie to watch and re-watch just as we re-read the books so often.
Winter moments seems so fleeting, glad you are enjoying them where you may.

Teal and Marianne, thanks!

Cherie, yes, sigh. You enjoyed a little more snow than we did, at least.

Summer, I know. It's a story that keeps on giving insights. The books even more. I'm glad you could share the movies with special people.

A little winter dreamin' sounds lovely for me... been hot down here! Not conducive to a little snuggle at all. :)

Sounds lovely, Deanna. I'm expectantly waiting for a nice snow here. We usually get most of our snow (a couple of snows of a few inches) in January/February.

I'm happy for you in the sunshine, though, Cecily. We'll see it again someday...

Build a snowman for me, Patti!
